Fort Albany Power Corporation is dedicated to serving the Fort Albany community, providing efficient and reliable power.

Situated in a remote area of Northeastern Ontario, along the Albany River, the community originated as one of the oldest Hudson’s Bay Company trading posts. Fort Albany Power Corporation serves the Fort Albany First Nation, with its on-reserve population of approximately 900. As a primarily fly-in community located approximately 150 miles north of Moosonee, reliable power has historically been a challenge. Since 2001, Five Nations Energy Inc.’s Omushkego Ishkotayo Project has connected Hydro One’s facilities in Moosonee to a substation in Fort Albany, allowing Fort Albany Power Corporation to deliver efficient and safe power to customers.
